These terms cover using Time Gaia ("the site", "we"), creating an account, adding events and photos, and donating. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

What the site is

Time Gaia records claims, not facts. Documented history, scientific findings, and religious, mythological and legendary accounts appear side by side, each attributed to whoever makes the claim. Including a claim does not mean we endorse it. Much of the data comes from Wikidata, and pictures come from Wikimedia Commons under the licences shown with each one.

AI overviews

Some descriptions are written by AI models, and they are labelled as AI-written. They can be wrong. Treat them as a starting point, not a source, and check anything that matters.

Your account

• Give a real email address, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
• One person per account. Accounts made by bots or used to abuse the site may be suspended.

What you add

• You keep ownership of the events, text and photos you add. You give us permission to store them, show them to you, review them, and, once they are approved, show them on the site.
• Only add photos you took or have permission to share, and do not include other people's private information.
• Do not add anything unlawful, hateful, harassing or sexually explicit, or anything meant to deceive.
• Everything you add is reviewed before anyone else can see it. We may decline or remove anything that breaks these terms.

Donations

Donations are voluntary and are processed by Stripe. A donation pays for running and building the site. It does not buy goods, services or any rights. Donations are not tax-deductible unless we have told you otherwise in writing. If you think a donation was made by mistake, contact us.

No guarantees

We work to keep the site accurate and available, but it is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses that come from using the site or relying on what it says.

Changes and contact
